Missing Link

Lewis Orne, a young field agent, is sent to a faraway planet to make contact with its people after a human ship vanishes there. The people of Gienah III have a weapon that looks very much like one from the missing ship. Meanwhile the officer in charge is ready to bomb the planet, and Orne has to talk the natives down in time. Frank Herbert's story first appeared in 1959. Read by Tony J Martin in thirty-six minutes. For readers who like their science fiction tense and short.
