Once you’ve set up your profile, you’ll have access to our "Job Board" where you can access auditions from all audiobook genres. Submit your best takes to authors directly onto our platform.

Step 2: Collaborate on a Project

Agree on Payment Terms
Work with Academy Voices and authors to decide on payment terms that suit your needs—choose between a per-finished-hour rate, royalty share, or hybrid model.

Bring the Story to Life
Using character notes and project guidelines from the author, record, edit, and deliver high-quality audio files. Along the way, you’ll receive feedback to ensure the production aligns with producer's vision.

Step 3: Finalize and Get Paid

Submit Retail-Ready Audio
Once the audiobook is complete, submit your files for Quality Assurance (QA). Any necessary adjustments will be communicated to ensure the final product meets industry standards.

Earn with Transparency
Receive payments either PFH or quarterly and enjoy detailed reporting on your royalties and completed projects. With Academy Voices, you’ll always know where your earnings stand.

1. Per Finished Hour (PFH) Pricing Model

Our PFH model provides you with control over your budget and project scale. Pay a set rate for each finished hour of audio, ensuring transparency and professional standards.

Details:

• Narrator Fee: Let's say you choose $150 per finished hour (PFH), paid directly to the voice actor.
• Production Fee: Academy Voices charges a production fee for managing, producing, and distributing your audiobook of only $30 PFH. 

Example:

For a 5-hour audiobook at $150 PFH:

• Narrator Fee: $150 x 5 hours = $750
• Management Fee: $150
• Total Cost: $900

2. Royalty Share Model

Minimize upfront costs by sharing the future success of your audiobook. This model aligns everyone’s interests toward producing a high-quality audiobook that sells.

Revenue Breakdown:

• 40% to Author/Rights Holder
• 40% to Narrator
• 20% to Academy Voices

Additional Notes:

• No Upfront Narration Costs: Begin production without immediate expenses.
• Shared Success: Earnings are based on audiobook sales across all platforms.

3. Royalty Share Plus

Combine the benefits of royalty sharing with the assurance of professional production. This model provides access to experienced narrators and premium services while keeping upfront costs lower than traditional PFH arrangements.

• Royalty Split:
  • 40% to Author
  • 40% to Narrator

• Production Fee: An additional production fee paid by the author to access top-tier narrators and premium production services.
