About Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston and became a printer in Philadelphia, where he published the Pennsylvania Gazette and Poor Richard's Almanack. He experimented with electricity, invented the lightning rod and bifocal glasses, and helped found a library, a hospital and a university. He signed the Declaration of Independence and later represented the new country in France. The Way to Wealth gathers the sayings from his almanack on work and thrift.
