About
About Brian J. Rhymer
Brian J. Rhymer is a trans author whose work explores identity, transformation, and the complicated relationship between who we are and how the world perceives us. He is a two-time Watty Award winner and has participated in the Wattpad Creators Program since its launch. His queer YA dystopian novel was selected for Wattpad Originals, and his stories have connected with thousands of readers looking for trans characters whose lives encompass more than transition and trauma.
Brian also creates social media content about trans history, representation, and the thrilling realities of being a boring, middle-aged trans dad. He has more than 10,000 followers on TikTok, where his most popular videos have reached 1.4 million views.
By day, Brian works as an elementary special education teacher. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and two children and can often be found reading queer fiction, watching dubbed Godzilla movies, or being subjected to his children’s latest obsessions.
