About
About Emily Brontë
Emily Brontë grew up in a parsonage on the Yorkshire moors with her sisters Charlotte and Anne, all three of them writers. Wuthering Heights, her only novel, was published in 1847 under the name Ellis Bell. Its wild, unsparing love story puzzled readers then and is now one of the great English novels. She died a year later, aged 30.
