About George S. Clason

George S. Clason was an American writer and businessman. He served in the Spanish American War and later founded a map publishing company in Denver, Colorado. Beginning in the 1920s he issued a series of short pamphlets on thrift and financial planning, each told as a parable set in ancient Babylon. Collected as The Richest Man in Babylon, they are still read for their simple advice on saving and investing.
