Hazel Heald

Hazel Heald was a pulp fiction writer who lived in Somerville, Massachusetts. She is known for working with the horror writer H. P. Lovecraft, who revised several of her stories in the 1930s. Among them is The Horror in the Burying-Ground, a short tale of a country undertaker. Little else is recorded about her life. For readers of Lovecraft, her name is a reminder of how much of his writing was shared work, and these stories are often printed in his collected tales.
