About Henri Bergson

Henri Bergson was a French philosopher who influenced both analytic and continental philosophy in the first half of the twentieth century. He argued that immediate experience and intuition tell us more than abstract reasoning, especially about time and life. Laughter, from 1900, asks why we laugh and what comic moments say about society. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1927.
