Vance Randolph

Vance Randolph was an American folklorist who studied the folklore of the Ozarks above all. He collected songs, tales, sayings and customs from the hill people of Missouri and Arkansas and wrote a number of books on the region. He also wrote juvenile fiction and many titles for the Little Blue Books series, the cheap pocket booklets of the 1920s and 1930s that brought reading to a wide audience.
