Shopping with Grandmother Minton

When Susan is sent to the bustling city to help her slow, old-fashioned grandmother shop for Christmas, she’s mortified by every delay—until each “delay” reveals a quiet act of kindness. From soothing a crying child with a peppermint and bandage to tending a fainting stranger in a crowded department store, Grandmother Minton’s shabby black velvet bag produces comfort, courage, and the true spirit of the season. As the holiday rush threatens to separate them, Susan’s panic turns to revelation: generosity, patience, and compassion outshine any display window. Narrated with warmth and gentle humor by Regina Anguiano, this classic, heart-tugging tale captures the magic of everyday goodness and the joy of giving. Perfect for family listening, cozy classroom story time, or a calm holiday car ride, Shopping with Grandmother Minton is a timeless reminder that Christmas is found not in the lists we complete, but in the hands we hold and the hearts we help.
