Mary Brienza

With a career spanning Off-Broadway, regional theatre, television, radio, comedy, and improv, I bring a deep foundation in performance and a rich, grounded vocal quality to my narration. From warm and heartfelt to sharp and comedic, and with a strong command of dialects and vivid characters, I am equally at home narrating Literary or Gothic Fiction, YA, narrative non-fiction, Self-Help, or poetry. Additionally, through my many years as a teaching-artist specializing in theatre dance and tap dance, I have a comprehensive knowledge of American dance and theatre history and have particularly enjoyed sharing with students the stories of impactful but lesser known figures that history often overlooks. And as a daughter, spouse, and mother, life has called on me at different times to be a care-giver to family members contending with serious illness and ability-altering circumstances which has forged my connection to stories of caring, compassion, and navigating adversity.
