About Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde was an Irish poet, playwright and novelist, the most famous wit of his day. He wrote The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest and fairy tales such as "The Happy Prince." In 1895 he was imprisoned for homosexuality and he died in Paris three years after his release.
